Assistant Coaches are on-board for the 2018 season!
April 5, 2018
Welcome our new assistant coaches to the Blizzard team.
Nick Jaculak, from Beasejour, Manitoba, grew up playing field and box lacrosse in the Wizards area. Jaculak played three years of high school field for the Beausejour Barons, where he was a captain for two years and made the provincial all-star team twice.
He has also been a member of the U16 provincial field team, where he was once again chosen as team captain.
In his time away from playing, Jaculak is extremely involved in box lacrosse within the Wizards zone. He has served as the coaching director for the area, and has coached numerous box teams over the last five years. Jaculak has also been involved with Predator lacrosse over the last four years and still serves as the Head Coach for the Beasejour Barons.
Nolan Gilmour was appointed assistant coach for the Manitoba Blizzard for the 2018 season, which marks his first year coaching in Manitoba.
Gilmour, a Portland Oregon native, played college lacrosse in North Carolina at St. Andrews University (formerly, St. Andrews Presbyterian College).
While playing attack and midfield, Gilmour was a four year starter for the SAU Knights, and member of the NAIA’s Appalachian Athletic Conference’s All-Conference Team.
